LABORATORY
HOUSE

A CONCRETE
EXAMPLE OF
A SUSTAINABLE
FUTURE

In collaboration with the Technical Physics Department of the Studies University of Trieste we starred and ambitious project: Laboratory – House: a self-fueled building, auto producing almost all its energetic needs. The building-equipment system provides great comfort conditions, guarantees the absolute absence of C02 in the air and assures maximum energy saving. The experiment, with patent pending, awaits official acknowledgement of a patent to build NZEB (Net Zero Energy Building) and its remote control. We have recently finished the first part of the sustainable building construction experiment which was started in Trieste in 2010. The second phase will be done by March 2013. After 18 months of energy production and consumption monitoring by the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Trieste, the prototype of the laboratory-house designed and build by Settimo General Constructions has been confirmed self-sufficient, consuming less energy than the one produced.
